Terms of Service

By using WebSentry (websentry.dev), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part, you may not use the service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access the service.

WebSentry is a website security scanning and monitoring service. We scan URLs you provide, evaluate security configurations, and return a graded report. Paid plans add monitoring, alerts, and higher scan limits.

Scan results are informational. They reflect the state of the target URL at the time of the scan and should not be treated as a comprehensive security audit or a guarantee of security.

You agree to use WebSentry only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Scan URLs you do not own or have explicit written permission to test
• Use the service to harass, harm, or violate the privacy of third parties
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls
• Resell or redistribute scan results without written permission
• Use automated scraping beyond the documented API
• Submit URLs that are designed to compromise WebSentry infrastructure

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at security@websentry.dev if you suspect unauthorized access.

You must provide accurate information when registering. Accounts created with false information may be terminated.

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. If you disagree with a price change, you may cancel before the new price takes effect.

Unpaid invoices may result in account downgrade or suspension after a 7-day grace period.

WebSentry, its logo, and all related software are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the service without written permission.

Scan reports generated for URLs you own belong to you. We retain the right to use aggregated, anonymized scan data to improve the service.

WebSentry is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that scan results will be complete or accurate. Security scanning is inherently limited and cannot detect all vulnerabilities.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WebSentry shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to security incidents, data breaches, or reliance on scan results.

Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

You may cancel your account at any time from the dashboard. We may terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases. Data may be retained for a limited period as described in our Privacy Policy.

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
